Bandwidth Boost for Host Virtual’s European Datacenters Completed

Santa Monica, Calif (PRWEB) September 23, 2014

With increased IPv6 usage across Europe, Host Virtual beefs up its connectivity to its datacenters in London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Host Virtual improved its European datacenters in London, Amsterdam and Paris with greater bandwidth and lower latency for its customers.

The London, Amsterdam and Paris datacenters feature upgraded connections and are all located in premium and secure locations. Host Virtual, a leading cloud hosting, IaaS (or infrastructure as a service) and BGP/Anycast cloud provider, also ensured they are also part of the larger internet exchanges in their area for peering into the their respective countries and surrounding regions. (The Amsterdam datacenter is part of AMS-IX; the London datacenter is part of LINX and AMS-IX; Paris is part of EQIX-PAR, FreeIX, PaNAP, POUIX and SFINX.)

Strong demand on behalf of Host Virtual’s customers in Europe prompted additional connectivity with the continent.
"The needs of our customers and the needs of their users are exploding, especially in the EU," Kris Slevens, director of customer experience, said. "Our upgrades ensure our customers will continue to enjoy a connections that are as fast as possible. It’s also worth noting that Europe’s adoption of IPv6 outpaces the rest of the world and we offer one of the best global IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack solutions available today."

These network additions are in addition to the service upgrades made to the Paris datacenter.

"If we can’t deliver seamless network connectivity and services, our customers will have lost the competitive advantage that hosting and BGP/Anycast in the cloud offers," Slevins added. "Ensuring that our customers always have more than they’ll need keeps their sites online, no matter what their traffic demands are."

In addition to cloud hosting and BGP/Anycast services, Host Virtual offers load balancing, and worldwide CDN support with its cloud hosting infrastructure as a service, or IaaS. Over 500 operating system templates can be deployed by the company’s customers to its data centers that utilize native dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support.
